About the role
Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is seeking a Pastry Chef de Partie who shares a passion for excellence and brings creativity, precision, and enthusiasm to everything they do. Reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef, this role oversees the daily operations of a pastry station, preparing exceptional pastries, cakes, desserts, and specialty items while ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation. What you will do
Supervise the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen efficiently and independently
Assist in creating and preparing cakes, buffet desserts, and specialty items
Prepare food items according to recipes and guest orders, maintaining consistent quality, portions, and presentation
Complete mise en place for lunch, dinner, and buffet service, planning ahead to minimise waste
Maintain strong teamwork and professional relationships with colleagues, providing guidance and instruction as needed
Train, motivate, and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring cultural and operational standards are met
Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards, including proper stock arrangement and labeling.
What you bring
Applicants are required to have four to six years of operational kitchen experience with a diversity of culinary experience and a proven track record in fine dining.
Supervisory and management experience is required and culinary qualifications are essential.
Current Arizona Food Handlers Certificate is required
Previous experience in a luxury hotel, or similar environment
Requires attention to detail and problem solving skills, as well as a passion for customer service.
