Salary: $96,000 - 136,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data modeling, data architecture, or database design.
• Expert proficiency with erwin Data Modeler; version 9.x or later is preferred. Experience should include subject areas, model templates, DDL generation, forward and reverse engineering, model versioning, and comparison functionality.
• Advanced SQL skills and in-depth knowledge of Oracle (11g, 12c, 19c, or 21c), including SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, and performance-tuning fundamentals relevant to data modeling.
• Experience developing normalized transactional models and dimensional models, including star and snowflake schemas, for reporting and analytics.
• Strong command of DDL for creating and modifying tables, indexes, constraints, sequences, synonyms, and materialized views.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including entity-relationship modeling, normalization and denormalization, cardinality, keys, and referential integrity.
• Knowledge of database internals, including indexing strategies, partitioning, clustering, and query execution plans.
• Experience applying data modeling practices such as surrogate keys and slowly changing dimensions (SCD).
• Experience creating and maintaining data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage documentation.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and model comparison or diff tools.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain modeling decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks, and effective in a team environment.

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models using erwin Data Modeler.
• Generate, review, and optimize DDL scripts for database objects, including tables, views, indexes, constraints, and partitions.
• Perform forward and reverse engineering of data models from Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Work with data architects, DBAs, ETL developers, and business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Ensure models follow normalization standards, including 3NF and BCNF, and maintain data and referential integrity.
• Support dimensional modeling for data warehousing and analytics.
• Conduct model reviews and impact analyses, and manage version control using erwin or comparable tools.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives, including metadata management, naming standards, and lineage documentation.
• Optimize models for performance, scalability, and maintainability in large-scale environments.
• Assist with database migrations, schema comparisons, and synchronization across development, QA, and production environments.
• Help optimize existing data solutions.
• Follow our data governance and information classification and protection policies.
• Participate in design reviews and take direction from our Data Architecture team.
